Wilson Street Pantry has had some honorable mentions on the blog before. Today they’re getting their own post after I had a lovely breakfast there a few weeks ago. I’ve dropped in for a takeaway coffee a dozen times, and popped in for lunch prior, too. But this was my first time sampling their breakfast menu.

Wilson Street Pantry sits on my doorstep in Merchant City, on Wilson Street. They already get a thumbs-up in the caffeine department from me – this place is great for a cup of coffee. The food has simply elevated my enthusiasm for their food. I went for the French Toast with Berries and a latte. A generous serving of french toast arrived, topped with berries and vanilla something-or-other (I want to say some sort of cream?). Not the most ground-breaking breakfast dish, but it was served perfectly. Everything tasted really fresh and definitely satisfied my Sunday brunch needs.

There isn’t a whole lot more to say about them. Service is fine. The prices are really reasonable, particularly for this part of town. The restaurant interior has a classic-come-modern twist, and very Insta-worthy. Full-height windows flood the place with light, come rain or shine. The smaller 2-seater tables can sometimes feel a bit closely packed, but it’s not a huge deal. Their menu is relatively small but should satisfy everyone’s breakfast and lunch needs. And I can only assume from my experience that they prepare their curated selection very well. It would be great to see them try a few new dishes in future, but I’ll definitely be back for brunch. I’ll have the eggs and avocado next, please.

P.S. I put a snap of their menu at the bottom of the page, in case you want to peruse their current offerings.
