Exploring Prague, Czech Republic – Part 2

And here we continue exploring Prague, starting with the Jewish Quarter. If you missed my first post, you can view it here.

JEWISH QUARTER / JOSEFOV

It was lovely wandering around here first thing on a Sunday morning; so peaceful and so beautiful. The architecture really is gorgeous and I couldn’t help but look up at every corner. It turns out a huge part of where the Jewish community settled in Prague (formerly known as the Jewish Ghetto) was torn down, in an attempt to rebuild the city based on the Paris model. A number of synagogues remain here, but the rebuilt surroundings are just as wonderful to explore.

Exploring Prague, Czech Republic – Part 1

Exploring Prague. We visited Prague in May for a few days – major tick on the travel bucket list. Arriving on Friday, we checked into our hotel (which was actually more of a B&B kind of situation, but I would highly recommend based on comfort and location) and went out on the hunt for dinner.

Pizza Pilgrims, Kingly Street, London

Pizza Pilgrims – www.pizzapilgrims.co.uk
11 Kingly St, London, W1B 5PW

This post is a bit of a cheat, because these photos are over a year old. I don’t normally like posting old content, but Pizza Pilgrims was made fresh in my memory recently.  My wonderful niece recommended I visit there, and it was a sweet little moment when I was like “OMG I’ve already been!”. The reason this is a surprising coincidence is that I live in Glasgow, and Pizza Pilgrims is in London. Now it’s hard to think about pizza without drawing comparisons to Paesano, but I’ll try not to. And I’m sure they will get a well-deserved post very, very soon. Moving on…

Last weekend took me to the Southside, and I couldn’t miss checking out Southside Roasters’ new coffee shop. Southside Roasters are a small batch coffee roaster based in Glasgow. They opened their doors to their first coffee shop a couple of months ago. I’ve been really keen to check out their cafe since seeing the work in progress snaps of building the shop on their Instagram.

36 Hours in Milan

36 Hours in Milan during Fashion Week, nonetheless. My non-caffeine dreaming boyfriend and I headed to Milan, which we tagged onto the end of our trip to Barcelona at the end of summer last year. In this post, I’m briefly listing places we visited and the restaurants along the way. Hopefully, you can find some inspiration if you’re heading to Milan.

Visiting Copenhagen in December

Of all the cities I have visited so far, visiting Copenhagen was a very special trip. This may have been because it was during the festive season. Copenhagen in December is just adorable. Either way, if you’re considering a trip to Denmark over Winter, don’t let the cold put you off. The wind blew hard and the rain regularly drizzled, but it didn’t dampen our Christmas spirits.  This city is just wonderful.

I visited Copenhagen last December, and with Christmas rolling around again out of nowhere, I really just wanted to reminisce.  This city deserves some praise, and hopefully, this post will give you some tips if you’re planning on visiting anytime soon. Everywhere mentioned is in the city centre, or just outside of it. So let’s talk about visiting Copenhagen.

I can’t explain how much I love visiting street-style food markets for dinner (or any meal to be fair but I’ve only ever gone to this kinda thing at night!).  Between the choice of food and the almost-guaranteed great atmosphere there’s just no going wrong.  So today I’m posting some snaps from Dinerama in Shoreditch.  Dinerama is one of the four food markets under the Streat Feast London umbrella.  Dinerama is in Shoreditch, Hawker House in Southwark, Model Market in Lewisham and Dalston Yard in Dalston.

Berlin Travel Diary [Part 1]

I visited Berlin with my significant other and a group friends in October last year. We booked the trip for mid-October for two reasons – one, because my friend found a tattoo artist he really wanted to visit in the city, and two, because this was the week the Festival of Light was happening.  As fate would have it, we failed to accomplish either of these things, but here’s what we did get up to:
